Sport Clips Racing

Sport Clips - Rock City is a Proud Sponsor of Joe Gibbs Racing and Drivers Denny Hamlin and Carl Edwards

Sport Clips Haircuts is an active sponsor in the fastest sport in America - AUTO RACING! We have sponsored NASCAR drivers for many years and even had a car in the 2006 Indianapolis 500 driven by Italy's Max Papis!

Sport Clips Racing is excited to enter its seventh season (2015) as a partner with Joe Gibbs Racing.

Denny Hamlin enters his tenth full season, behind the wheel of the No. 11 Sport Clips Toyota in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2015, following an incredible 2014 season that left Denny itching for a championship. Denny ended the 2014 season with high hopes for the 2015 season after being one of the final four teams in The Chase. Hamlin won one race, had seven top-fives, 18 top-tens, 3 poles and for the second consecutive season led 363 laps.

Carl Edwards starts a new chapter in 2015 joining Joe Gibbs Racing to drive the No. 19 Toyota Camry in the Sprint Cup Series. He brings an impressive resume in NASCAR's top Series that includes 23 Sprint Cup victories, 108 top-5's, 187 top-10's, and 13 poles. He also won the coveted Sprint All-star race in 2011.

Edwards is considered one of NASCAR's top drivers and is among the most respected, recognized and strongest competitors. He nearly claimed his frist Sprint Cub championship in 2011, tying for first in points, but losing in the tiebraker based on number of wins.

Proud Sponsor of JGR MX

Sport Clips enjoys its Official Sponsor  relationship with the JGRMX Professional  Motocross Racing Team. Founded by Coy Gibbs, the son of NFL Hall of Fame Head Coach Joe Gibbs,  the team debuted Jan. 5, 2008 in Anaheim, Calif., at the opening round of the AMA Supercross Championship.

Coy Gibbs knows that building a motocross team from the ground up is no easy task, and having the right people will make all the difference in the success of the effort. Understanding that success in NASCAR will not directly translate into success in motocross, Coy has hired a team with extensive backgrounds in the sport.  Jeremy Albrecht manages the team, with Dean Baker handling the engine development. Jonny Oler takes care of suspension, and Spencer Bloomer heads up the testing and settings refinement duties.  Patrick Barker provides the tuning duties for Justin Brayton, while Ben Schiermeyer wrenches for Josh Grant.  The team is based in Huntersville, North Carolina.

The Toyota/Yamaha/JGMRX Team is excited to announce their 2015 rider lineup. Justin Barcia and Weston Peick will join the team for 2015. Phillip Nicoletti will retrun as a substitute for Monster Energy AMA Supercross and will contest the entire Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship

As an amateur Barcia claims 25 major titles, including four at the prestigious AMA National Amateur Championship at Loretta Lynn's ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. Barcia is a two time 250SX East Champion, the 2012 Monster Energy Cup Champion, and a frequent visitor to the podium in both supercross and motocross. Internationally he has won the Genoa Supercross in Italy, two Kind of Bercy titles in Paris, France, and was on the overall podium with Team USA in the Motocross of Nations in 2012.

Peick, is arguably one of the hardest working riders in the sport, steadily progressing largely without factory support. Riding since the age of four, and racing since he was 15, Peick earned seven amateur titles before turning professional in 2009. Riding as a privateer he placed ninth overall in his first professional race debuting in the premier 450 Class at Glen Helen Raceway May 23, 2009.

Nicoletti has been tirelessly working to earn a position on a top-tier team in the crucible that is racing. In 2015 Nicoletti will race all 12 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship rounds and again substitute if needed during the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship Series.
